In a recent directive, the CAAVrequested the Airports Corporation of Vietnam, Van Don International Airport,Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, Vietnamese airlines, and airportauthorities to set up steering committees for the task, publicise hotlines availablearound the clock to deal with information related to their duties, and put in place plans to meet travel demand during the holidays.
Particularly, it toldairports to tighten control over aviation security and safety, ready personnelfor the tasks, and work closely with local authorities to minimise trafficcongestion, especially at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, carriers were required to prepare for increasing flights, with the aviation infrastructure andsecurity taken into account; devise measures for minimising flight delay orcancellation; and boost control to guarantee flight safety.
Aviation service providerswere asked to augment examination to ensure security and safety for flights andpassengers.
Besides, all the relatedparties also have to continue improving the awareness and sense ofresponsibility towards the COVID-19 prevention and control, theCAAV’s directive said./.
