Belarus to apply visa-free entry for Vietnamese citizens

Belarus will allow visa-free entry for citizens from 80 countries, including Vietnam, for visits of up to five days, according to a decree signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on January 9.

Hanoi (VNA) ꦑ- Belarus will allow visa-free entry for citizens from 80 countries,including Vietnam, for visits of up to five days, according to a decree signed byBelarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on January 9.

The relaxed visarules will apply to visitors who arrive in Belarus by airplane. They will comeinto force a month after their official publication.

The decree appliesto 39 countries in Europe, including the entire European Union, as well asBrazil, Indonesia, the US, Japan and other states.

These arefavorable countries in terms of migration, Belarus' strategic partners whichhave introduced visa-free regimes for Belarusian citizens on a unilateral basis.

A valid passportor other document permitting foreign travels, money (equivalent to at least twobase amounts for each day of stay in the foreign currency or Belarusianrubles), medical insurance in the amount of at least 10 thousand eurooperational in Belarus will be needed for the visa-free entry.

The citizens ofVietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia and Samoashould also have a valid multi-visa to the EU states or the Schengen Area witha mark confirming the entry to their territory, plane tickets with aconfirmation of the departure from the Minsk National Airport within five daysafter the date of the entry. 

The visa-freeentry is unapplied to those who arrive in Belarus by airplane from Russia aswell as those who plan to leave for Russian airports. The regime is also not applicableto foreign diplomats and officials.-VNA
