Binh Duong (VNA) – The southernprovince of Binh Duong will continue efforts to improve its businessenvironment and provincial competitiveness index (PCI).
According to the provincial People’s Committee,local officials will hold more dialogues with businesses to collect feedbacksand promptly tackle their difficulties, along with supporting them inproduction and business activities.
In the first quarter, Binh Duong’s industrialdevelopment index grew 7.27 percent over the same period last year. The flow offoreign direct investment (FDI) in industrial parks (IPs) exceeded 1.3 billionUSD.
The export turnover of businesses at industrialparks reached 2.8 billion USD, accounting for 43.8 percent of the province’stotal export value.
In terms of domestic investment attraction, BinhDuong province drew 9 trillion VND (396 million USD) in registered capital andadded investment from 1,132 enterprises.
The province is now home to almost 26,600domestic businesses with a combined registered capital of 198 trillion VND(8.72 billion USD) and 1,890 FDI enterprises with a total registered investmentof 27.1 billion USD).
The province is working on projects to expandthe Bau Bang and Nam Tan Uyen IPs, and build the Vietnam–Singapore III and Cay TruongIPs.-VNA
