According to the provincial People’s Committee, its traditionalexport markets all reported decreases compared to those in the same period lastyear. Notably, the US, which accounts for 34.4% of Binh Duong’s exports,recorded a year-on-year decline of 16.8%, the EU 3.4%, Japan 20.2%, China 7.7%, and the Republic of Korea 8.7%.
The declines were attributed to a fall of 20-50% in ordersreceived by local businesses.
Although rosy signs were seen at the end of the thirdquarter, the number of new orders remained modest.
Over the past time, Binh Duong has actively coordinated withthe Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam trade offices abroad to carryout a lot of trade promotion programmes.
This year, the province’s export revenue is estimated to reach 32.9 billionVND, down 5% year-on-year and equal to 86% of the set target, with a trade surplusof about 9 billion USD./.
