Vietnam's youth chess team ranked third after securing 10 gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze medals at the 2024 Asian Youth Chess Championship held in Kazakhstan from June 9-21, the Vietnam Chess Federation announced on June 21.

Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem secured a silver medal at the Dubai Open chess tournament’s blitz event on April 6 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Nguyen Anh Khoi of Vietnam pocketed two gold medals and a silver in chess tournaments that ended in the Republic of Korea on August 10.
