Book on peace aspiration launched

The Vietnam Peace Committee has released a book titled Vietnam – Aspiration for Peace to demonstrate the people’s aspiration for peace.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam PeaceCommi😼ttee has rele♛ased a book titled Vietnam – Aspiration for Peace to demonstrate the people’saspiration for peace.

Published by the National Politics-Truth Publishing House, the book isdivided into three parts featuring research material on peace issues andVietnamese people's peace ideology. It features a collection of articles based on theoretical, political,historical and economic perspectives of many authors. The first part of the book features various aspects of peace and war indifferent periods. Thoughts on peace in Vietnam are also included. The second part consists of a series of articles on the Communist Party of Vietnam’s views and policies on the country’s peace. The third section addresses issues of the international peace andsolidarity movements as well as the current struggle for peace of theVietnamese people. Speaking at the launch ceremony on September 5, Vice Chairman of the NationalAssembly and Chairman of the Vietnam Peace Committee Uong Chu Luu emphasised that peace is the most sacred desire of humans, especially for Vietnam – a country that has gone through manywars to defend national independence. Lưu said protecting peace, defending independence, sovereignty, unity andterritorial integrity of the country, stabilising political-social security andcreating a peaceful and stable environment for the development of the country are the responsibility of the Party, the army and the people.-VNA
