Business establishment procedures to be accelerated

He made this request during a working session on theadministrative procedure reform with officials from the Ministry ofPlanning and Investment in Hanoi on September 9, with a particularfocus on processes relating to the establishment and dissolution ofbusinesses, and the implementation of investments.

The PMstated it was the Government’s key task to improve the institutionalframework and push the administrative reform, adding that ministries andlocalities needed to continue to review the measures they implementedto attract investments and increase competitiveness.

According to the leader, improvements to the business environment and anincrease in national competitiveness contributed substantially toVietnam ’s rapid and sustainable development, as well asindustrialisation and modernisation.

A one-stop-shop approachto administrative procedures has shortened processing timesignificantly, Dung said, calling for an acceleration of implementationefforts.

PM Dung proposed ministries and sectors put forthspecific measures to perfect the legal framework for investments andbusinesses, with a particular focus on reforming administrativeprocedures; removing barriers to investment; reforming market accessprocedures; implementing investment projects; and facilitating businessoperations in all areas of the economy.

The ministryreported it had been working with the Ministry of Finance and theMinistry of Public Security since 2007 to implement the one-stop-shopapproach to business registration, tax registration and other proceduresrelating to the establishment of new businesses.

In 2010, thenational business registration system was established, aiming tofundamentally reform the business landscape of Vietnam.-VNA
