Moscow (VNA) - Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of VietnamLe Minh Tri has described businesses as particularly important entities,contributing to the economic stability and development, generating jobs forpeople and paying taxes to the national budget.

Addressinga dialogue as part of the Business Programme at the 26th St. PetersburgInternational Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia on June 16, Tri said, in anincreasingly difficult and complex context, it is essential to pay attention toresolving difficulties and adopting pro-business policies. To achieve this, heurged the procuracy sector to attach importance to evidence in settlingcriminal cases and pay attention to protecting enterprises and those who dobusiness legally or face temporary difficulties and risks.

TheSupreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam also suggested improving transparency andopenness, amending and supplementing the legal and policy systems to addressgaps and shortcomings in regulations and state management, thus promptlyremoving difficulties and protecting the legitimate rights and interests ofenterprises, making it easier for them to foster innovation and overcomechallenges.

Trialso urged procuracy and prosecutorial institutions of countries tostrengthen cooperation and share experiences in relevant matters of concern.
