Children in Hai Phong receive free health check-ups

More than 400 children between the ages of 6 and 15 in the island district of Bach Long Vy in the port city of Hai Phong received free health examinations on June 22.
More than 400 children between the ages of 6 and 15 in the islanddistrict of Bach Long Vy in the port city of Hai Phong receivedfree health examinations on June 22.

They were also provided with consultations, medicines and treatment at the hospital.

The annual programme, launched in 2013, was co-organised by the BachLong Vy district General Hospital , the Hai Phong Children’sHospital and the district’s Communist Youth Union.

It is part of efforts by the municipal Department of Health and localauthorities to protect and improve child health on the island and inborder areas.

Training sessions were conducted by experts from the Hai Phong Children’s Hospital to build staff capacity.

The Hai Phong Children’s Hospital also provided a number of necessarytreatment equipment for the district hospital to improve servicequality.-VNA
