Beijing (VNA) – The article “Several theoretical andpractical issues in socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam” holdssignificance, reflecting a strategic vision, brainpower and dedication ofGeneral Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central CommitteeNguyen Phu Trong to Vietnam’s revolutionary cause based on the application of Marxism-Leninismand reality in the country.
It was stated by Rui Wei, head of the Vietnamese section at China RadioInternational, in an interview recently granted to Vietnam News Agency correspondentsin Beijing.
Rui said the article has received special attention from China’spolitical circle and ideologists, contributing to further enrichingMarxism-Leninism and contributing to the ideological system of socialism in theworld.
In the article, Trong delved into the nature of capitalism,saying that capitalism itself could not remedy its own existing basiccontradictions.

Over the past years, China has been Vietnam’s top tradepartner for 16 consecutive years while Vietnam has also been the largest tradepartner of China in ASEAN. In the first five months of this year, two-way tradesurpassed 64 billion USD, up 44.3 percent year-on-year, according to him.
About opportunities and challenges faced by Vietnam, Ruisaid under the leadership of the CPV, concentrated management of the State, andconsensus of the entire political system and people, Vietnam has reaped greatachievements, basically looking towards a strong country with wealthy people,democracy, equality and civilisation, striving to accomplish nationaldevelopment goals on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of theCPV.
To such end, he highlighted a need to have a favourableinternational environment./.
