Hanoi (VNA) - Cho Ray Hospital in HCM City has been selected asone of 21 regional training centres of the Belgium-based International Societyof Nephrology (ISN).

The hospital will become a training centre in nephrology (the study ofkidneys) over a five-year period to 2026, and that status will be maintained ifit fulfils ISN’s criteria.

Cho Ray will provide in-depth specialised training to improve patientcare in Vietnam and other countries in the region in the fields of generalnephrology, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and transplants.

Training activities will be in the form of hosting fellows andeducational meetings and workshops on regionally relevant topics, and sharingknowledge and expertise via the ISN Educational Ambassadors of ContinuingMedical Education programme, among others.

Alongside Cho Ray, other medical establishments selected in Oceania andSoutheast Asia include Malaysia’s Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Thailand’s KingChulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok.

ISN Regional Training Centres play a key role in ISN’s continuingefforts to establish and develop nephrology in developing countries./.

🍸 Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
