NinhThuan (VNA) – A seminar was held in Ninh Thuan on December 14 aimingto bolster cooperation and business links between the south central provinceand Kursk province of Russia.

Speakingat the event, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan People’s Committee Luu Xuan Vinh saidthe province has focused on six main economic sectors, including clean energy,tourism, agro-forestry-fishery, processing, education-training and real estate,in accordance with its socio-economic development plan by 2020.

Kurskprovince holds great advantages in industry, agriculture, science andeducation, which are suitable for the socio-economic development plan of NinhThuan. Hence, the Vietnamese province is willing to create favourableconditions in investment policies and procedures for Russian investors.

Localauthorities also voiced their hope that leaders of Kursk province will continueto support cooperation between businesses and people of the two localities formutual growth.

Forhis part, Kursk Deputy Governor Krivolapov Aleksandr Nikolaevich said theprovince wants to foster bilateral cooperation with Ninh Thuan in variousfields, including food processing, tourism, education, and labour export.

Theseminar offered opportunities for businesses to seek investment and bolstertrade after the two provinces signed memoranda of understanding in December2016, he added.-VNA
