Hanoi (VNA) –
President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister 🌟Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a congratulatory message to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterꦕte on July 10 in celebration of Vietnam-the Philippines diplomatic relations entering the 40th year.

The same day, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also extended her greetings to her Philippine counterpart Maria Leonor Robredo.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh offered his congratulations to Philippine Foreign Minister Perfecto Yasay. Vietnam and the Philippines established diplomatic relations on July 12, 1976.
In late 2015, the two countries signed a pact to elevate their ties to strategic partnership. Their two-way trade revenue now reaches nearly three billion USD a year. Approximately 1000 Vietnamese students are studying at Philippine universities, while hundreds of Philippine teachers are working in Vietnam.-VNA
