More than 280 enterprises participated in the 2014 fair for consumption promotion here at Phu Tho Sport and Gymnasium Centre.

Organisedby the city's Department of Industry and Trade, the six-day fair, whichlasts until January 1, 2015, drew participation from renownedVietnamese brands such as TH True Milk and Vissan.

Featuring450 stalls selling sweets, beverages, domestic appliances, cosmeticsand clothes, the fair is a trade centre and entertainment venue for citydwellers during the New Year holiday.The participating businesses havepromised to adopt interesting marketing strategies and sales promotionsto improve their services while keeping their prices reasonable.

This fair is aimed at stabilising the domestic market and encouraging customers to buy Vietnamese products.

Someparticipating enterprises also hope the fair will serve as a platformfor businesses in the city to cooperate on trade promotion campaigns.-VNA
