COVID-19: 1,438 new cases raise national count to 42,288
Vietnam logged in 1,438 new cases of COVID-19, all local infections from 7:30pm on July 15 to 6am on July 16, pushing the national count to 42,288, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam logged in 1,438 new casesof COVID-19, all local infections from 7:30pm on July 15 to 6am on July 16, pushingthe national count to 42,288, according to the Ministry of Health.
They comprise 1,071 in Ho Chi Minh City; 72 in Dong Nai;66 in Dong Thap, 57 in Khanh Hoa; 53 in Binh Duong, 36 in Vinh Long, 22 in PhuYen, 15 in Ben Tre, 10 in Binh Phuoc, eight each in Kien Giang and Can Tho,seven in Hau Giang, six in Nghe An, three in Hanoi, one each in Dak Nong, LangSon, Anh Giang and Lam Dong.
Of the new cases, 1,274 were detected inside quarantinedand locked down areas.
The number of cases reported since the fourth coronaviruswave hit the country late April reached 38,726, 6,914 of whom have been given theall-clear. The total recoveries stood at 9,688.
Among patients under treatment, 307 patients have testednegative to the coronavirus once, 114 twice and 81 thrice.
On July 15, 21,815 more people received COVID-19 vaccineshots, bringing the total doses administered in the country to over 4.18 million.A total of 294,676 people have been fully vaccinated with two jabs./.
Vietnam recorded 1,922 new COVID-19 infections, including 33 imported and 1,889 local cases, from 6am to 7h30pm on July 15, according to the Ministry of Health.
