Lam Dong (VNA) – The Da Lat Worsted Spinning Limited Company inDa Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, has exported the firstbatch of 4 tonnes of sheep wool yarn to Japan.

The plant, whose construction began in June last year, is expected to ship 300tonnes of yarn abroad this year.

It has a total investment of 50 million USD andis a joint venture between Germany’s Südwolle Group and Lien Phuong TextilesIndustry Company based in Ho Chi Minh City.

With an annual designed capacity of about 4,000 tonnes of yarn, the woolspinning plant is set to earn from 100-120 million USD each year.

Up to 90 percent of the finished wool yarn from the factory will be shipped totextile companies using sheep wool worldwide.

The project contributes to the job generationfor locals, with the need to employ up to 400 people.

In addition to the production function, the factory will be open to visitorswho can watch the whole process of producing yarn from natural wool./.
