Da Nang launches helicopter tours

The service, introduced by theVietnam Helicopter Corporation, will include tours over Da Nang city,Non Nuoc, the Han River, Da Nang beach, voyages over Cu Lao Cham, MySon, Ly Son and Hue city. Besides, the new service will also serve field-searching and medical aid services.
TheFrench modern helicopter EC-130 T2 that can take six tourists on onetrip will be used for the new service. A 12-minute round will cost apassenger 3 million VND (143USD). One of Vietnam’s populartourist destinations, Da Nang saw a jump in the number of touristarrivals in first quarter of 2015 with around 878,076 travellers, up17.3 percent against the same period last year.
Of them,313,096 were foreigners, an increase of 14.7 percent and 564,980 werelocal holiday-makers, jumping 18.9 percent from the same period lastyear. The city recently joined with central Thua Thien-Hue andQuang Nam provinces to unveil a campaign to promote tourism intheir central region, home to numerous renowned beaches and worldheritage sites. The city will introduce new river tours, theHelio entertainment complex, a French village, the Asia Park, a nightmarket on the Han river, and Vincom commercial centre.-VNA
