Along with a Winter Festival in Ba Na Hills tourist site, Da Nang Museumwill hold an event to welcome the first visitor of 2018 on January 1.
In Ngu Hanh Son tourist site, the management board will present gifts tothe first tourist of the year. Meanwhile, other destinations across the citywill be decorated to welcome visitors, while launching promotion programmes.
According to the municipal Department of Tourism, the city expectsnearly 143,000 tourists for the New Year 2018 holiday, up 17.9 percent over thesame time last year, including 81,530 foreign visitors, a rise of 16.2 percentyear on year.
In the Christmas and New Year 2018 holiday this year, several new airroutes were launched to connect the city and Incheon, Busan and Daegu cities ofthe Republic of Korea, Hong Kong (China) and Osaka in Japan.
The department will host a ceremony to welcome the first flight of 2018at Da Nang International Airport.
