JYSK, a global furniture brand from Denmark, inaugurated its first store at Aeon Mall in Hanoi on October 28. NeatClean JSC is the franchise partner of JYSK in Vietnam, which will take charge of developing JYSK's chain of retail stores in the country. Doan Hong Hai, Chairman of NeatClean JSC, said he is positive about the future of their new business with JYSK as Vietnam is a high potential market with a young population.
Vietnam is also considered to be an attractive retail market as it ranks 28th among the countries with highest Global Retail Development Index last year. "We are aiming at opening 10 to 20 stores in the next five years," Hai said. "The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam sees the partnership between JYSK and NeatClean as a positive example of commercial activities between Vietnam and Denmark," Bo Monsted, Head of Commercial Section of the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam, said. "I believe the cooperation between JYSK, a global furniture brand, and NeatClean JSC, a modern and creative Vietnamese company, will be flourishing," he added.
JYSK is the largest Danish retailer and a global retail chain that sells household goods such as mattresses, furniture and interior decor. Its first store opened in Denmark in 1979. JYSK Group has more than 2,200 stores in 39 countries throughout Europe, Canada and Asia with an annual turnover of 2.8 billion euro (3.1 billion USD).
Meanwhile, NeatClean JSC was founded in April 2015 by investors from various fields including retailing, supplying goods, importing and exporting.-VNA
