Defence cooperation key pillar in Vietnam-Laos ties: official
The Vietnam-Laos defence cooperation, which has developed comprehensively and effectively in recent years, is one of the important pillars in the nations’ relationship, stated Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien on April 6.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-Laos defence cooperation,which has developed comprehensively and effectively in recent years, is one ofthe important pillars in the nations’ relationship, stated Vietnamese DeputyDefence Minister Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien on April 6.
Hosting a visiting delegationfrom the Department of Chemistry under the General Staff of the Lao People’sArmy in Hanoi, Chien emphasised that the Vietnam-Laos special solidarity has always been maintained and fostered by their senior leaders anddefence ministries. He said during the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Year 2022, the defence bodies coordinated to organise many activities ofpractical significance, contributing to promoting the special, faithfuland pure relations.
Head of the department Colonel Thiem Homsan informed hishost of a recent working session between the Lao delegation and the ChemicalCorps of the Vietnam People's Army and vowed to encourage the implementation ofthe sides’ cooperation plan this year.
He hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence will create further conditions for such collaboration.
Taking into account outcomes of the two forces so far,Chien suggested they focus on boosting their experience exchange, and humanresources training.
The Vietnamese ministry always supports and create all favourable conditions for thesides to strengthen their engagements serving the deepening of the countries’defence cooperation, the official affirmed./.
