Hanoi (VNA) 🅺– Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has highlighted the upcoming exhibition on national achievements on the occasion of the country's 80th National Day as an unprecedented, large-scale event with diverse content, urging all stakeholders to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility to make it commensurate with 80 years of national construction and defence.

Chairing a meeting of the steering committee for the exhibition on August 12, Chinh, who is also head of the committee, stressed that with only 15 days until the opening, and just one week until the preliminary review, the workload remains considerable. He urged strong determination and maximum effort to fulfil assigned tasks. Chinh reminded that the Prime Minister’s Official Dispatch No. 126 clearly defines key priorities, responsibilities, and assignments for ministries, sectors, and localities, which must now be implemented with full commitment. All resources should be mobilised around the clock to basically complete preparations before August 15 as directed.
Authorities are tasked with carefully reviewing exhibition content, ensuring all materials and images accurately reflect reality and match the event’s stature. All participating provinces and cities are required to fully deploy 34 culinary train carriages showcasing the gastronomic highlights and specialties of all 34 localities. Alongside the scheduled artistic programmes and side activities, agencies, enterprises, and localities are encouraged to propose additional promotional events, conferences, seminars, and signing of cooperation agreements to present potential, strengths, and new investment opportunities. Communication and publicity efforts must be intensified via media platforms to attract widespread public interest and participation.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, the installation of pavilions has been carried out since August 1. The exhibition is set to open at 9 am on August 28 and close at 8 pm on September 5 at the outdoor stage of the National Exposition Centre. A preliminary review will take place on August 20, followed by a full rehearsal on August 26. At the meeting, representatives from ministries, agencies, and localities reported on the performance of their assigned tasks. Deputy General Director of the Vietnam News Agency Nguyen Thi Su suggested ministries and sectors give interviews and provide more information about their participation to enrich media coverage of the event./.
