Diversified activities at fruit fair in Luc Ngan district

This is the fourth year the fair was organised to connect consumption markets, including oversea market, to fruits and other popular products of the district.
The People’s Committee of Luc Ngan District of northern Bac Giang Province opened a fair introducing orange, grapefruits and other typical products of Luc Ngan district on November 29. This is the fourth year the fair was organised to connect consumption markets, including oversea market, to fruits and other popular products of the district.
In 2019, Luc Ngan District has a total of over 27,000ha of fruit trees with a total output of 60,000 tons per year. Total revenues from fruit trees in 2019 reached more than VND4.3 trillion (US$185 million), accounting for more than 70 per cent of the district's total agro-forestry production value. At the opening ceremony, the organisation board presented certificates for main sponsors of the event and honored products winning the first prize at the district’s orange and grapefruit quality contest in 2019. The fair lasted through December 1.
A wide range of activities were held on the sidelines of the fair, including art performances, competition for booths with beautiful displays and a programme on Vietnamese high-quality goods. After four times, the fruit fair has not only served as a bridge between farmers and traders but also helped to promote the image of local people and products, contributing to attract visitors from both inside and outside the country./.
