Domestic airlines increase flights after social distancing

Domestic airlines have announced to increase flights on several domestic routes from April 23 while offering new promotions to increase demand after national social distancing ends.

Hanoi (VNA) - Domestic airlines have announced to increase flights on several domestic routes from April 23 while offering new promotions toincrease demand after national social distancing ends.  

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines said it provides between four andsix return flights per day connecting Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City until the endof this month, and plans to increase that number to 10-13 in the followingmonths. 

Meanwhile, the carrier continues maintaining one return flight per day on the routes linking Da Nang with Hanoiand HCM City between April 23 and April 26, and will increase to twobefore the end of the month. The airline is expected to offer three to fiveflights per day on these routes in the following months.

Vietnam Airlines also resumed services on the HCM City and Hai Phong/Vinh/ThanhHoa routes with one flight per day from April 23; HCM City and Hue/Con Dao fromApril 25 with one flight each day, and the same with remaining routes from nextApril 29. The airline said it will continue to review the frequency of routesin accordance with the situation.

Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, a member of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, hasalso doubled return flights between Hanoi and HCM City to two per day.

Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific both said they will strictly followcleaning rules after each flight.

Meanwhile, low-cost carrier Vietjet has increased the frequency of returnflights carrying passengers to six per day between Hanoi and HCM City; threereturn flights per day between Hanoi/HCM City and Da Nang, and one returnflight per day on several domestic routes.

Vietjet is also giving away tickets priced from only 9,000 VND (0.4 USD) onall domestic flights until April 25.

The super-cheap airfares are available from noon to 2pm at www.vietjetair.comfor flights departing from April 23 to December 31 (excluding nationalholidays)./.
