Dong Nai (VNA) – Southern DongNai province wants high-tech, environmentally-friendly and energy-efficientprojects in agriculture and manufacturing in 2018.
The province is inviting more foreign directinvestment (FDI) in high-tech projects in support industries, such asmanufacturing of parts, components, materials and accessories for themechanical engineering, electronics and informatics industry.
The province will prioritise projects in logistics,infrastructure, auto-making, information technology and manufacturing ofmaterials and accessories for clothing and footwear industries and newmaterials.
It will also call for investment in projectsthat produce clean, high-yielding crops and agricultural products or those thatapply biotechnologies and those in food processing and herbal medicines
The province’s People’s Committee willcontinue working with enterprises to support their development. At the sametime, it will support investors in performing investment procedures regardingland, construction, auction and environment, as part of efforts to attract moreFDI projects.
It will assist businesses to get loans frombanks, and continue implementing programmes to improve local businesscompetitiveness, quality control and intellectual property protection.
Dong Nai has about 1,300 FDI projects from45 countries and territories with total investment of 26.9 billion USD.
Last year, the province drew in 1.82 billionUSD in FDI, almost doubling its yearly target. Most of the FDI was poured intolocal industrial parks and in the fields of processing, manufacturing, realestate and consultancy services.-VNA
