Dong Nai lures over 374 million USD in FDI in Q1

Dong Nai (VNA) – The southern province of Dong Nai has licensed 38 foreigndirect investment (FDI) projects worth more than 374 million USD in the firstthree months of 2018.

According tothe local management board of industrial parks, of the total, there were 22 newprojects, with combined registered capital exceeding 106 million USD. Theyincluded projects invested by August Sport Ltd at 15 million USD and by GreatKingdom Nhon Trach 2 Ltd at 10 million USD.

Theremaining 16 projects, which had already operated, saw over 268 million USDadded to their existing capital. They included the Dutch-funded Bosch GasolineSystems – HPC plant in the Long Thanh industrial park (over 71 million USD) anda project by the Singaporean-funded OPC pharmacy company in the Bien Hoa IIindustrial park (47.7 million USD).

The foreigncapital poured into Dong Nai in the first quarter met 37.4 percent of the1-billion-USD target the locality set for 2018.

Theprovincial Department of Planning and Investment said the new FDI projects arein line with Dong Nai’s policy on prioritising high-tech and environmentallyfriendly projects.To date,Dong Nai houses 1,307 valid FDI projects valued at 27.2 billion USD, investedby businesses from 45 countries and territories across the world, led by thosefrom the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and Japan.-VNA
