Dong Nai (VNA)🍃 – Export turnover for the southern province of Dong Nai, in 2016 is likely to enjoy a boost of 10 percent compared to 2015, according to Vice Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Duong Minh Dung.

Exports of key commodities of the locality will be increasing, thanks to the recovering global market, Dung said.
According to Vietnamese Commercial Counsellor in the US Dao Tran Nhan, the US will still be the biggest export market for Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular in the coming year. He stressed that when the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement takes effect, it will open a great opportunity for Dong Nai’s businesses to make deeper inroads into the US, as well as other TPP member nations. The US was the leading market for Dong Nai’s exporters in 2015, with a total goods value shipped to the US reaching over 4 billion USD, while the import turnover from the country was only 1 billion USD.
It was followed by Japan, with nearly 1.3 billion USD in export turnover, and 700 million USD in import value. The province’s export and import turnovers to ASEAN countries hit 1.5 billion USD and 600 million USD, respectively, with main commodities being textiles, footwear, computers, electronics, wood and wooden products. Dong Nai’s products were shipped to six ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.-VNA
