Doosan Vina exports 1,560 tonnes of structural equipment to Indonesia

Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Company (Doosan Vina) has delivered 1,560 tonnes of main structural equipment to the Jawa Thermal Power Plant in Indonesia after more than two months of production, the firm announced on June 15.

Quang Ngai (VNA) – Doosan Heavy Industries VietnamCompany (Doosan Vina) has delivered 1,560 tonnes of main structural equipment tothe Jawa Thermal Power Plant in Indonesia after more than two months ofproduction, the firm announced on June 15.

Le Thi Dieu Linh, head of Doosan Vina PR Department, saidthis is the first shipment under the Jawa 9 and 10 project that Doosan Vina signedin last December involving the manufacturing and supply of more than 36,000 tonnesof non-pressure equipment including the boiler structure, pipe, support column,coal storage system, desulfurisation system, and other equipment to install atthe Jawa Thermal power plant located in Banten province, Indonesia.

The first shipment includes 1,560 tonnes of pillars, beams, girdersof Tier 1 of Unit 1 and bolt jigs of Unit 2. Among them, the largest device is 14.2m long, 1.9m high, 3.5m wide and weighs 33.3 tonnes. After theinstallation is completed, they will become the support frames for the boilersystem, coal transporting and coal dust treatment systems at the Jawa thermal powerplant.

Seo Deog Won, Director of the MHS factory of Doosan Vina, saidthat this is the first time Doosan Vina has manufactured equipment for a large capacitythermal power plant. These are two environmentally friendly coal-fired plants,using ultra-supercritical technology.

With this huge workload of 36,000 tonnes, the project is carried out in more than three years and is expected to be completed by2024./.
