Doosan Vina ships three more gantry cranes to India

Quang Ngai (VNA) – DoosanHeavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd (Doosan Vina) said it has recently shippedthree rail mounted quay cranes to India.

Each of the 1,400-tonne cranes is 84m high,144m long and 26m wide. It is designed to handle 65-tonne containers.

They are part of an order for 12 cranesrequested by the India-based Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals Private Limited todeal with substantial throughput at its unit in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port inMumbai.

The cranes are expected to reach India’sbiggest container port in two weeks.

As scheduled, Doosan Vina will export theremaining six cranes in 2018 and 2019.

To date, the company has sold 71 portcranes, including rubber tiered gantry cranes and rail mounted quay cranes tothe Port of Singapore Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust of India andIndonesia’s Samarinda.

Doosan Vina was established by Doosan HeavyIndustry Inc. and Doosan Engineering & Construction on November 2006. Itcomprises of five factories, including a boiler factory, a petrochemicalfactory as well as a pier and port facilities.-VNA
