Hanoi (VNA) –A draft law on foreign trade management was approved by the National Assembly(NA) on June 12.

Up to 88.19 percent of the NA deputies attendingthe afternoon sitting, part of the NA’s ongoing third session, voted for thebill, which consists of eight chapters with 113 articles.

Before the deputies cast their votes, the NAStanding Committee delivered a report explaining amendments to the bill.

With 86.97 percent of approval votes, theparliament also passed revisions and supplements to the agenda of its thirdsession as proposed by the NA Standing Committee.

Accordingly, from June 16 to the end of thesession, the agenda will include the consideration and approval of theappointment of two justices of the Supreme People’s Court.

The vote on a draft law on planning, which wasinitially expected to be carried out at this third session, will be delayed.

According to the NA Standing Committee, thereremain a number of different opinions and many issues relating to regulationsin various existing laws. Meanwhile, more opinions from ministries and sectorsdirectly subject to the draft law are needed.

Therefore, the bill needs further improvements beforeit is submitted to the parliament at the fourth session, the Standing Committeesaid.-VNA
