Electric car service for tourists to be launched in Da Lat

LamDong (VNA) - A project on using electric cars to carry tourists will be piloted in Da Lat city,the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, from next month.

The project, piloted in three years by the Dalat City Tour Co., Ltd, aims tomeet the increasing travel demand of visitors and boost environmentally-friendly public transportation in the resortcity.
 
Under the project, a total of 30 European-standardcars with 8-11 seats will work from 7:30 am to 10pm daily on five routes, goingthrough Xuan Huong and Tuyen Lam lakes, Thung Lung Tinh Yeu tourist site, ThaiPhien flower village and Linh Phuoc pagoda.

As one of famous resort cities in Vietnam, Da Latembraces the typical natural and cultural features of the Central Highlands.The city, nestled at 1,500 metres above sea level, is quiet and pretty all yearwith mild climate and temperatures varying between 15 and 24 degree Celsius.

It is known by several names which all indicateits romantic beauty: “Little Paris”, “City of Pine Forests” and “Land of Mist”.But the name “Kingdom of flowers” is perhaps its most impressive and accurate.

Lam Dong is also among the hi-tech agriculturalproduction localities nationwide, and it has been piloting agro-tourismvillages, aiming to draw more domestic and international tourists to theprovince.

Lam Dong province has about 1,300 accommodationestablishments, 100 tourist attractions and 58 travel agencies, as well asthousands of collectives and individuals offering tourism services. –VNA
