Hanoi (VNA) – The General Department of VietnamCustoms will pilot the electronic tax collection and customs clearance 24/7with five banks.
The agreement was signed in Hanoi from October 23 with theCommercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), the VietnamCommercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), the Bank for Investmentand Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Military Commercial Bank (MB Bank), and theVietnam Technological and Commercial Bank (Techcombank).
Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Duong Thaisaid the project is part of efforts to reform administrative procedures bycutting tax payment and customs clearance time to the average level of ASEAN-4countries as requested by the government.
