Energy-saving int’l expo opens in HCM City

An international expo on energy-saving and green energy technologies and products, Enertec Expo 2011, opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Aug. 17.

Localand foreign companies are showcasing their energy-saving and greenenergy products at 150 booths during the four-day event, offeringconsumers a wide range of choices.

Addressing the openingceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, said that2011 is the first year that the country has applied the Law on EnergyEfficiency and Conservation. Enertec Expo is an important event topromote the effective use of energy in line with the law, he said.

Aspart of the expo, the organisers will hold several seminars on powersaving and solutions for renewable energy development. This will be agood chance for both international and domestic firms to look intopossibilities of green energy development and cooperation.
