Finnish enterprises said they are impressed by Vietnam ’s investmentpotential during a working session with Deputy Prime Minister HoangTrung Hai on September 26 in Helsinki .

In themeeting, representatives of businesses which are operating investmentprojects in Vietnam spoke highly of the efficiency of theirinvestment, affirming that the country had significantly improved itsbusiness climate.

They also suggested the countryfacilitate more investment projects, especially in the context of theupcoming free trade agreement between Vietnam and the EuropeanUnion.

The Vietnamese Deputy PM called upon Finnishenterprises to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam in green andclean technologies, renewable energy, forestry and education.

He informed business representatives that Vietnam has devised anumber of incentives to create a transparent climate for internationalpartners to do long-term business, while highlighting the Public-PrivatePartnership (PPP) model applied in public projects.

The same day, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai met with Finnish Minister forEuropean Affairs and Foreign Trade Lenita Toivakka on measures tofurther boost economic-trade ties between the two countries.

He also visited several major groups and corporations in Finland before leaving for home on September 27.-VNA
