On April 17, the Tay Ninh People’s Committee said that the market, thefirst to be built by Vietnam at the neighbouring country’s suggestion,will be located in Cambodia’s Memot district, Tbaung Khmum province,bordering with Vietnam’s Tan Bien district, southwest Tay Ninhprovince.
The Ministry of Planning andInvestment will work with the Ministry of Finance on the project’scapital allocation. The Ministry of Trade and Industry will work inconsultation with relevant bodies and the neighbouring country to issueregulations on the facility’s operations.
TheGovernment also requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upgrade theChang Riec border gate in Tay Ninh to facilitate the supervision andmanagement of trade while ensuring social order and security in theborder area.-VNA
