First ship carrying wind power equipment docks at Ninh Thuan’s international seaport
The arrival of this first wind power equipment shipment signalled the Trung Nam Ca Na seaport’s infrastructure readiness and its entry into a new phase of development, aligned with Vietnam’s adjusted National Power Development Plan VIII.

Ninh Thuan (VNA) – The Trung Nam Ca Na International Seaport in Thuan Nam district, the south-central province of Ninh Thuan, on June 25 welcomed ESHIP 1, a German-flagged vessel carrying thousands of tonnes of wind turbine components and auxiliary equipment.
According to the port’s management board, ESHIP 1 departed from Portugal, carrying a total of 51 wind turbine blades and over 200 supporting components manufactured by Enercon Group. The equipment are set to be unloaded and transported to energy project construction sites.
This marks the first time Enercon has shipped equipment to its partners and projects via the seaport.

To serve the implementation of the revised national power development plan for 2021–2030 with a vision to 2050, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed the establishment of two inter-regional renewable energy industry and service hubs, one of which will be based in Ninh Thuan. Accordingly, Trung Nam Ca Na will continue to be upgraded to handle ultra-heavy cargo and is expected to become a key service gateway for the offshore wind power sector.
ಞ With a total investment of 5.6 trillion VND (214.1 million USD), the port is currently completing Phase 2 of the Ca Na terminal, aimed at increasing capacity for handling oversized and heavy cargo./.
