First Vietnamese company to export chicken to Japan

Koyu & Unitek has become the first Vietnamese company to export chicken breasts to Japan, as it had secured a deal for the first batch to leave port in early 2017.

Hanoi (VNA) – Koyu &Unitek has become the first Vietnamese company to export chicken breasts toJapan, as it had secured a deal for the first batch to leave port in early2017.

Under the deal, the Dong Nai-based poultrycompany will monthly export about 300 tonnes of chicken breasts to Japan,according to the Sai Gon Giai phong (Liberated Saigon) newspaper.

The Dong Nai Animal Husbandry andVeterinary Branch said Koyu & Unitek’s Japan shipments are likely to helpmore local company to enter the choosy market of about 100 million people.

The southern province of Dong Nai is home to16 million farmed chickens.-VNA
