Forum connects enterprises in five Southeast Asian countries

Bangkok (VNA) – The Thailand-Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia-Myanmar Business Forum ⛎2023 tookplace from November 17-19 in Thailand’s Udon Thani province, promotingconnection among enterprises in the five countri🐓es.

Speaking at theevent, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh said that the forum isa turning point in the development of the successes of investment, trade, and tourismpromotion activities in 2022 that overseas Vietnamese businesses in Thailandconduct in some Vietnamese localities. It is also an appropriate and effectiveconnection channel for businesses to realise future cooperation opportunities.

According toPresident of the Thai-Vietnam Business Association Ho Van Lam, the forumfeatures product exhibitions, trade promotion activities, technology andexperience exchanges which connect and form networks between Vietnamesebusinesses and those in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar as well asmembers of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in agriculture,tourism, services, high technology, export, and finance.

In addition, theforum also introduces and pr✨omotes Vietnam's investment and businessenvironment, promoting the export of Vietnamese goods to countries in theregion, contributing to realising the Government's pꦉroject on calling onoverseas Vietnamese to join in introducing and consuming Vietnamese products.

Within the frameworkof the forum, businesses signed a cooperation agreement expected tohelp consolidate and improve the effectiveness of economic cooperation betweenthe five countries. According to theState Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, overseas Vietnamese have nearly 400investment projects in Vietnam with a combined registered capital of about 1.72 billionUSD./.
