Hanoi (VNA) – This year’s book fair themed "Books and Start-ups" openedat Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi, on September 22, drawing a crowd ofvisitors.
The event, the fourth of its kind, features 155 stalls of 32book companies, publishing houses and distributors nationwide. The fairintroduces books on different fields, and foreign books.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s CommitteeNgo Van Quy said the book fair aims to send a message of the importance ofbooks and knowledge for those who want to have successful start-ups.
Apart from creating a reading culture space with exchanges,seminars and book introduction, the organising board spends a space on “bookand start-ups”, displaying books on start-ups, innovative products, guidance onhow to approach start-up funds, Quy added.
The 2017 Book Festival officially opened at the National Library of Vietnam in Hanoi on April 20 as part of activities to mark the Vietnam Book Day (April 21) and the World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).
