FPT Software has signed a three-year contract with German energy supplier E.ON. to provide software services.
Acompany announcement made in early March said the services comprisesoftware development, testing and project management. The value of theproject is expected to be more than 10 million USD.
This isthe second-largest contract for FPT Software in the energy sector, thefirst one being a five-year contract with Germany's electricity and gassupplier RWE Group.
The Vietnamese software giant saidthat the deal with E.ON proves its ability and backs its ambition tobecome a leading IT service provider in the German market.
Ithas also signed a contract to provide software development, testing andsolution design services for DCI AG, a German company providingcreative solutions in the e-commerce sector.
Michael Mohr,general director of DCI AG, said he believes his company has taken theright decision to co-operate with FPT Software. He said that theVietnamese firm has skilled staff capable of offering effectiveconsulting services in technical solution design based on DCI AG'splatforms.
FPT Software, a member company of the FPT Group,earned revenues of 421 billion VND (20.04 million USD) from theEuropean market last year, a 117 percent increase over 2013.
