The annual festival celebrates the French language and the diverse cultural values of the Francophone community.

Returning to the capital for its fourth edition following the success of 2018, 2020, 2023, and 2024, the 2025 French Gastronomy Festival & Francophone made a vibrant comeback at Hanoi’s Thong Nhat Park from March 28 to 30, 2025.

More than 100 experts, scientists and partners in various fields from 10 countries gathered at the Global Vietnam - La Francophonie 2024 (OGVF 2024) in Paris from October 5-6 to explore the prospects of the Francophonie in today's world, especially the important role of Vietnam in the development of this dynamic partnership after 54 years of being an active member of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

Vietnam together with other nine countries representing member ‎states and observers of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) have promoted their cuisines and cultures at the Francophonie month in Malaysia.‎

There is great potential for Vietnam to increase digital cooperation and investment in the Francophone space, said Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang, Permanent Representative of the President to the Permanent Council of the Francophonie (CPF) and International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

The Vietnam-France Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the city’s Youth Cultural House co-organised a music festival on June 19 night to mark the 50th anniversary of the Francophonie.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on October 11 met with several other attendees on the sidelines of the ongoing 17th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan, Armenia.

Various activities will be held in Vietnam to celebrate International Francophonie Day, said Director of the Asia-Pacific office of the International Organisation of La Francophonie Eric-Normand Thibeault.
