Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted areception for Minister-President of German Federal State of Thüringen BodoRamelow in Hanoi on November 6.
Thüringen and Germany as a whole are important partners of Vietnam, heaffirmed, expressing his belief that Bodo Ramelow’s working visit to thecountry will provide a fresh impetus for the bilateral relations, benefitinglocalities and businesses of both sides.
With a view to developing ties, Son suggested Thüringen State to support the GermanParliament to approve the EU – Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA),elaborating the deal will open up new cooperation opportunities for businesscommunities, investors, and localities of both nations.
The official also suggested Thüringen step up cooperation with Vietnamese partners acrossthe fields of its strengths such as agriculture, high technology, processingand manufacturing.
Both sides should enhance human resources training cooperation invarious sectors, Son said, affirming the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will help promoteconnection between Thüringen and competent ministries, sectors, localities, andbusinesses in Vietnam.
He took the occasion to thank Thüringen for its support for the Vietnamesepeople who are living and working in the state.
