An official of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has said she is impressed with Vietnam’s efforts in migration governance, and that the country’s dynamic approach, which balances economic growth, international cooperation, and people-centred development, has provided valuable lessons for others globally.
Vietnam recognises the more positive assessment made in the 2023 Trafficking in Persons Report by the US Department of State, Spokeswoman of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang told a regular press briefing on June 22.
Implementation of the Global Compact for Migration (GCM), which to covers all dimensions of the international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner, helps Vietnam better manage migration, create a transparent and safe migration environment, said Deputy Foreign Minister To Anh Dung on October 11.
