Golden-ripened rice season in Son La province
As the late Autumn brings a slight chill in the air, the highlands of Bac Yen district in the northern mountainous province of Son La are covered in golden hues. The rice terraces, heavy with grain, cascade down the hillsides and valleys, signaling prosperity and peace for the local Hmong people. The beauty of the season is also the attractive time for nature explorers and lovers.
