Lang Son (VNA) –𝓡 The total volume of commodities imported and exported through Chi Ma border gate in the northern province of Lang Son has soared in the first three months of this year.
This is reflected in the customs revenue at the border gate, which exceeded 200 billion VND (7.75 million USD), accounting for 35% of the annual budget target for 2025 and 6% higher than that of the same period in 2024.
According to the Chi Ma border gate customs under the Customs Sub-department of Region VI, the main export items through this border gate were rosin, wood chips, dried mango slices, jackfruit, durian, and electronic components. The main imported goods included fabrics, cleaning paper, clothing, footwear, and household items.
Since the beginning of the year, despite increased goods volume, import-export activities have been consistently smooth thanks to improvements in customs clearance and support to businesses.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2025, the competent forces at the Chi Ma border gate processed immigration procedures for over 160,000 passengers and more than 26,000 vehicles transporting goods. The import-export turnover reached over 110 million USD with more than 6,000 customs declarations processed.
To facilitate import-export activities and immigration, the border guards have implemented a range of measures, focusing on enhancing digital transformation, using modern equipment, and simplifying administrative procedures in managing people and vehicles entering/exiting the border area.
These efforts helped reduce customs clearance time and assist businesses, residents, and drivers in import-export activities and transit within the border gate area./.
