Google Inc announced on July 2 the launch of three new search tools inVietnamese - Knowledge Graph, Voice search on Android and Googlehandwrite.

It said the new tools will help Vietnamese people find information on the web more quickly and efficiently.

Amy Kunrojpanya, head of public affairs and communications in GreaterMekong Sub-region for Google Asia Pacific, said the launch of theKnowledge Graph will unlock more information from the web for Vietnamesespeakers.

The Knowledge Graph, which greatlyenhances the depth of search engines, was first announced forEnglish-language users in August 2012, and has since been made availablein French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean,Chinese, Turkish, and Polish.

Today Google'sKnowledge Graph includes over 570 million entities and over 18 billionattributes and connections. The Knowledge Graph is not only available ondesktops but also on smart phones and tablets.

Voice Search and Google Handwrite in Vietnamese would make it mucheasier for Vietnamese speakers to use Google Search when on a mobiledevice.

The most natural way to interact with aphone is by speaking into it. Google Voice Search, which is available ondevices with Android 2.0+, gives users a fast, easy and natural way tosearch the web by speaking queries instead of taking too much time totype out on a mobile keyboard.

Google Handwriteenables users to search by just writing letters with a finger or astylus anywhere on user device's screen. There's no keyboard that covershalf of the screen and no need for typing.

Handwrite is experimental, and works better in some browsers than others– on Android, it works best in Chrome. Handwrite is enabled for Android2.3+ phones, Android 4.0+ tablets and for iOS5+ devices in over 30languages.-VNA
