A grand parade in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025) was held solemnly and impressively in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, on April 30 morning, with the participation of more than 13,000 people.
The military parade marking the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification not only showcased Vietnam’s national defence capabilities but also delivered a powerful message to the international community: no external force can divide Vietnam through military means or economic pressure.

High-ranking delegations from Laos and Cambodia will attend the grand ceremony celebrating Vietnam’s 50th anniversary of liberation of the South and national reunification at the invitation of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders.
The preliminary state-level rehearsal featured 25 military and militia formations, 17 police formations, 12 formations of mass organisations, along with the marching of military forces from China, Laos and Cambodia.
The parade will feature 25 military and militia formations and 17 police formations, with more than 13,000 personnel from all services and branches of the Vietnam People’s Army, People’s Public Security, and militia forces.
