High-level delegations from Laos, Cambodia to attend Vietnam’s reunification anniversary
High-ranking delegations from Laos and Cambodia will attend the grand ceremony celebrating Vietnam’s 50th anniversary of liberation of the South and national reunification at the invitation of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders.

Hanoi (VNA) – High-ranking delegations from Laos and Cambodia will attend the grand ceremony celebrating Vietnam’s 50th anniversary of liberation of the South and national reunification at the invitation of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Lao delegation, led by General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, will engage in commemorative events from April 28 to 30.
Meanwhile, the Cambodian delegation, headed by Cambodian People’s Party President and Senate President Hun Sen, will stay in Vietnam for the celebration from April 29 to 30.
♚ A wide range of activities are scheduled for the celebration, including a grand parade in Ho Chi Minh City starting from 6:30 am on April 30, with the participation of around 13,000 people./.
The preliminary state-level rehearsal featured 25 military and militia formations, 17 police formations, 12 formations of mass organisations, along with the marching of military forces from China, Laos and Cambodia.
As a highlight of the commemorative activities, it vividly retraced the nation’s proud and heroic history, celebrating the monumental victory of the 1975 Spring Offensive, while highlighting the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people and armed forces, as well as the iconic image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign.
Vietnamese localities are gearing up for the April 30 – May 1 holiday with a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, attracting large numbers of residents and visitors.

The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
