The new Cambodian NA building, a gift from Vietnam, was officially handed over to the Cambodian side on June 12, standing as a symbol of the profound friendship and solidarity between the two neighbouring countries.

The Cambodian Culture Week in Vietnam 2025, an important part of the countries' cultural and artistic cooperation plan for the 2023-2027 period, takes place in Bac Lieu and Vinh Long provinces.

The upcoming meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Boundary Committee (JBC), scheduled for June 14, will focus on technical matters related to maintaining the boundary status quo until a formal resolution is reached.

The bicameral mechanism allows Cambodia’s two legislative chambers to meet and jointly address significant national issues when necessary.

According to a tentative schedule, the key topics discussed at the congress include social welfare, the informal economy, and agriculture, priority policy agendas set by the 7th tenure of the Cambodian Government. However, due to the expanded participation and the current situation in Cambodia, some other topics may also be discussed at this congress.

UN experts called on the international community, particularly Southeast and East Asia countries, to take urgent and coordinated action to protect victims and step up prevention efforts.

President Luong Cuong expressed his belief that, building on the strong foundation laid by generations of leaders and peoples of both countries, including former President Tran Duc Luong’s great contributions, the Vietnam – Cambodia relationship will continue to grow sustainably and effectively for the benefit of both nations.

Throughout the day, senior Cambodian delegations, including officials from the Royal Palace, the Cambodian People’s Party, the Senate, the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and sectors came to the embassy to pay their respects to the former leader of Vietnam.

The National Day of Remembrance has played an important role in promoting national reconciliation and unity within Cambodian society. It helps raise awareness about the atrocities committed under Democratic Kampuchea and contributes to efforts to prevent the recurrence of such brutal and inhumane acts.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu held working sessions with officials from the Cambodian ministries of Education, Youth and Sport, and Civil Service on May 19 and 20 to promote education and youth cooperation between the two nations.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on May 19 held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890- 2025).

The event to express deep respect and gratitude to the founder of modern Vietnam saw the attendance of leaders from units under the Vietnamese Embassy.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 80th founding anniversary of the National Police held in southern Kandal province, Hun Manet praised the countless achievements of the police forces, saying that police officers are the good guardians of the nation and people.

Cambodia currently boasts four World Heritage Sites: the Angkor Archaeological Park, the Temple of Preah Vihear, the Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological Site, and the Koh Ker Temple complex.

General Sao Sokha emphasised that during the war, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia needed mutual support to gain independence, and in peacetime, they must continue to work together to maintain peace and achieve sustainable development.

Without Vietnam's support at that time, no country could have helped Cambodia overthrow the bloody Pol Pot genocidal regime, Hun Sen said.

ASEAN has a vital role to play in shaping a world order grounded in legal frameworks and a stronger foundation of democracy and justice, said President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

It added that the Cambodian Government will continue cooperating with the US to develop mutually beneficial trade and investment relations.
