Great national unity considered strategic guideline, root of strength: Top legislator
The Party and State always consider the great national unity as a strategic guidelines and the root of strength, determining the success of the Vietnamese revolution in the process of national construction and development, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has said.

Da Nang (VNA) - The Party and State alwaysconsider the great national unity as a strategic guidelines and the root ofstrength, determining the success of the Vietnamese revolution in the processof national construction and development, National Assembly ChairmanVuong Dinh Hue has said.
The top legislator made his remarks while attending the great national unity festival in residential area No.10 in Hoa Hiep Bacward, Lien Chieu district, the central city of Da Nang, on November 11.
Chairman Hue took this occasion to praise and thank local people for their unanimous support andcooperation with the city in implementing the Party’s and State's policies,especially in deploying Lien Chieu port project, which is expected to become aninternational gateway connecting the central coastal region to the world.
At the event, he presented gifts to 20 local social welfare beneficiary families andothers gaining the outstanding cultural family title.
The NA Chairman also witnessed the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) donating 5 billion VND (205,550 USD) to fund the building of 100 charityhouses in the locality.

Earlier, the top legislator inspected theconstruction progress of the Lien Chieu port project and presented gifts to workers who are working on the site.
The project covers an area of 450 hectares, with totalinvestment of over 3.42 trillion VND. It began in December 2022, and isexpected to be completed in November 2025./.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat in Hanoi on June 16 to gather opinions on the scheme reviewing the 20-year implementation of the Resolution on promoting the strength of great national unity for a society of wealthy people, strong country, democracy, justice and civilisation.
The 20-year implementation of Resolution No.23-NQ/TW, adopted by the 9th Party Central Committee on March 12, 2003, on promoting the strength of the great national unity for the goal of wealthy people, a strong country and a fair, democratic and civilised society was placed high on the agenda at the 13th Party Central Committee’s 8th plenum on October 7.
