Greetings extended to Lao Consulate General on Lao traditional new year

Da Nang (VNA) - Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang and a delegation of city officials on April 14 visited the Lao Consulate General in the city to extend greetings 🐈on the occasion of Laos’ traditional New Year festival (Bunpimay).
Offering best wishes to the consulate general’s staff as well as the Party leader State and people of Laos on the occasion, the Da Nang leader hailed the development of the traditional friendship between the two Parties and the States of Vietnam and Laos as well as the cooperative relationship between the city and Lao localities.
He said Da Nang꧒ will continue to hold activities to bolster ties with Lao partners during this year, which marks the 61st anniversary 🔴of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2023) and the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2023).
The official hoped that the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang will continue to accompany the city to further develop the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Lao localities in all fields.
For his part, Souphanh HadaoHeuang, Consul General of Laos in Da Nang, thanked the city leaders and people for their consideration.
He said that the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Lao Consulate General and the University of Da Nang - University of Science and Education, have organised a Bunpimay celebration with many cultural exchange activities, contributing to tightening the friendshiﷺp between the two countries./.
